Dr. Erinn Matenchuk, DVM
Growing up in the Edmonton area, Dr. Erinn Matenchuk has always held a deep love for animals and takes pride in being able to help wherever and however she can. Practicing since 2007 in our very own local area Dr. Matenchuk has grown relationships with our amazing clients and their fur babies alike. Owning a small town practice is something Dr. Matenchuk loves and being able to be a part of the wonderful community of Morinville and helping our local residents, and local fur babies, is something that only makes her that much happier. Dr. Matenchuk has vast medical knowledge to diagnose and treat her patients and is both precise and skilled in surgery here at Animal Wellness.
Dr. Birgit Wunsch, DVM
Graduating from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 1996, Dr. Birgit Wunsch has a wealth of knowledge and experience under her belt. Dr. Wunsch's experience lays not just in her medical expertise when performing examinations and treatments but also in surgery. Growing up in our area Dr. Wunsch has a local connection to all of us as well. Friendly and full of compassion Dr. Wunsch always does what is best for her patients and their family members.
Dr. David Moore, DVM
Dr. Moore graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 2022 in the neighboring province of Saskatchewan. Since joining the team here at Animal Wellness and bringing his wealth of knowledge with him, Dr. Moore has delivered exceptional care to our amazing clients and their four legged family! With an interest in exotics such as birds Dr. Moore loves expanding his knowledge in the veterinary field and spreading compassion wherever he goes.

Registered Veterinary Technologist
Graduating from Fairview Animal Health technology Marj has applied all her learnings in a practical and knowledgeable manner for the good of all the furry patients we see and their owners. Marj has plenty of fur babies at home and she ensures all her patients are treated as if they were her own. Marj enjoys sharing her knowledge with the rest of the team.

Registered Veterinary Technologist
As a graduate of the NAIT Animal Health Technology Program Penny has been an amazing asset to the team here at Animal Wellness. Penny loves living in the country with her husband and all their fur babies! In the clinic Penny is a force of positivity and is always ready to lend a hand both literally and with her knowledge as a technologist.

Registered Veterinary Technologist
Sarah joined Animal Wellness not long after completing her schooling at Northwestern Polytechnic in 2024. With a passion for helping animals Sarah will always be ready with a smile and a good attitude as she builds her knowledge in the veterinary medicine world.

As a Veterinarian Assistant Kourtney has risen to the unique challenges presented everyday. Familiar with the job and caring for her own fur babies throughout the years has led to Kourtney working in vet med.

Veterinary Assistant

As a graduate of the Veterinary Assistant Program at Reeves College Reice joined the team here at Animal Wellness. Having her own fur babies at home Reice has enjoyed the time she has spent both in College and applying what she has learned at the clinic.
Haley
Veterinary Assistant
Haley is another of our Veterinary Assistants at Animal Wellness. Haley has aspirations of becoming a vet and is currently taking courses to make that happen. Haley also is familiar with training dogs and the little fur baby in the photo above is living proof of that.
Meaghan
Certified Groomer/ Veterinary Assistant
Meaghan is an award-winning, certified groomer. Meaghan has been working her magic and making dogs look and feel fabulous for 17 years. Meaghan also enjoys working on her competition dogs and riding horses.
